What Is AQL 1.5?
AQL stands for "Acceptable Quality Level," the maximum number of defective gloves allowed per batch before the whole lot fails inspection. Lower is stricter. Most generic gloves are tested to AQL 4.0 or not tested at all. AQL 1.5 is the same standard used for medical exam gloves, so far fewer pinholes make it through and a torn or leaking glove is the exception, not something you should expect.
What Does "Virus Tested" Mean?
EN ISO 374-5 means the glove has been independently tested and proven to resist viral penetration, not just liquid or chemical splash. Most commercial gloves are never tested to this standard, since it's typically reserved for medical and lab-grade products.
What Does Food Safe Certified Mean?
The glove material itself has been tested and approved for direct contact with food, independently verified rather than assumed. Many gloves are never tested for this, so using them around food prep is a compliance risk even if nothing visibly goes wrong.
